1. The main character is quite clearly clinically insane, and I find the concept of his being responsible for people's wellbeing slightly alarming.
2. It turns out that everything you originally thought about what was acceptable to 'ship was wrong.
3. Yes, it's still the same show, despite the fact that the cast has changed completely numerous times and absolutely none of the actors who were in it a year ago are there any more.
