Don't Fukkin Murder Ppl.
Nov. 4th, 2020 09:30 amThe Phantom Thieves stole my entire October, and, honestly, I'm okay with that. Persona 5 has its flaws, some of them glaring, but I haven't been so completely absorbed by a videogame since Final Fantasy XV.
It's just occurred to me that, if we do end up getting caught as we leave the Palace, that almost certainly means Akechi sold us out. Goddammit, Akechi.
Sojiro's ninth confidant event is ridiculously heartwarming. I love this messy little family.
Haru was clearly so lonely before and dreamt of having friends she could go to festivals and watch films with, my heart.
Ryuji just approached me at the train station, looking intense, and said, 'Hey, I've been waitin' for you, Rei. You know what I'm gettin' at, right?' There are fewer 'Ryuji's really into me' moments now that the central cast has become so large, but I'm pleased to report that he is still, in fact, really into me.
Poor Makoto, torn between her sister and us.
I'd forgotten how smirky Joker was in the opening sequence. He really loves what he does.
Wait, we were arrested in the Metaverse? How does that work?
Hey, now I get to see Rei getting beaten up again, but now I care about him, so it's even better! Excellent.
How can someone get real-world arrested inside a Palace? Is the interview we keep flashing forward to actually taking place in Sae's head??? Or did agents somehow go inside Sae's Palace and bring us out?
Why is it that I have the option to sell out my friends but not to sell out Akechi? I'm not selling anyone out, but I don't understand why I'm compelled to protect Akechi, who at best I appear to reluctantly tolerate, and yet could throw Ryuji, Makoto, Ann, Futaba, Sojiro etc. under the bus.
( And some spoilery notes. )
This game is an adventure.
