Hint: 'Colours' Is Not A Group.

Following yesterday's Only Connect wall experiment, I have made a second wall, this one to be subtitled 'BECAUSE RIONA IS A MASSIVE GIT'. Basically, yesterday's game was fun but didn't last very long, so I sat down afterwards and thought to myself 'what's the most obnoxious thing I could possibly do with an Only Connect wall?'

Here is my conclusion:


White, Silver, Rose, Red
Scarlett, Fuchsia, Orange, Yellow
Green, Sapphire, Blue, Indigo
Plum, Violet, Lavender, Black

As before: there are four groups of four words in here, all mixed up together. The words in each group are held together by a connection. Your aim is to untangle the four groups and find the connections. For example, the groups from yesterday included Smith, Grant, Pond, Noble (Doctor Who companions) and Chain, Helmet, Shed, Lock (can be preceded by 'bike').

If you give me a list of four words from the centred wall and your guess at their connection, I'll tell you whether you're right or wrong! You're also welcome to think aloud and confer with others in the comments.

dev_chieftain has also created a couple of walls over here, if you'd like to have a crack at those. Please someone have a crack at those; I seem to be the only one trying to work them out, and I'm rubbish at it.

Trying to think of something to include in this entry so it doesn't consist solely of an obnoxious puzzle, I've just realised that I never linked to Kevin Bridges' Would I Lie to You? horse story! In fact, have a handful of my favourite claims.

Reginald D. Hunter: The 'D' in my name stands for 'Delicious'.
David Mitchell: I've had to prise open my bedroom door for the last two years, ever since the door handle fell off.
David Mitchell: As a child, I used to play board games against a bucket with a face painted on it. I called this bucket Stephen Tatlock.
Kevin Bridges: I once accidentally bought a horse.

If you've never seen Would I Lie to You?, I would highly encourage checking some of these out. The concept is that a panellist on one team reads out a claim and the other team have to determine whether it's true or false. It makes me laugh aloud more than any other programme.

Like fic where he's having sexual identity confusion, and doesn't have the nerve to try anything with a real man (or simply lacks the social skills to attract the interest of one), so is all "Stephen Tatlock is my boyfriend now!" and engages in the world's most pathetic kiss?

Should I possibly sleep more and internet less if those are the ideas my brain's coming up with?

I wished that the story about Stephen Tatlock was true so I could have had an excuse to go back in time and hug little David for being so adorable. It reminds me of the story about Miranda Hart having a little man-shapped toaster friend called Tim, that was also a lie. :(

The horse story was the first bit of Would I Lie to You? I ever saw, and then I spent the next few days basically living on youtube, watching clips. I laughed so hard I cried over the horse story and Stephen Tatlock!

I don't tend to laugh aloud much at television, but Would I Lie to You? frequently manages to make me crack up. The only problem is that I frequently come away from an episode remembering the claims but not whether they're true or false, so I probably believe some very strange things about certain celebrities.
