Should Have Bred Him For Full Authenticity, But Alas I Have No Ditto.

Here is a story that illustrates what an incredibly cool person I am:

This morning, in Pokémon White Version, I caught a Rufflet and named it Canton, after the Doctor Who character from 'The Impossible Astronaut'/'Day of the Moon'. I quite wanted to have it on my team, but I didn't really fancy its nature; it turned out to be Bold, which is great as a description of Canton but reduces the Attack stat.

So I went out in search of another Rufflet. And I found one, and I caught it, and I paused.

And then I caught another one, because he is Canton Everett Delaware the Third.

SUCH A DORK.

So now I have a Rufflet named Canton III on my team! He has a Sassy nature. The Speed reduction is a bit of a shame, but still: Canton is sassy even as a Pokémon this is perfect. (I didn't check Canton II's particulars before catching Canton III, but when I looked at it afterwards I found that it had a Serious nature, which wouldn't have been at all fitting. Clearly being a massive dork was the correct decision to make.)

I think this is the first time I've ever recaught a Pokémon based on its nature. My Seismitoad is Bold, but I don't think the Attack stat is as important for her as it is for Rufflet, because she generally uses special attacks. Do you take Pokémon natures into account when forming your team? (Or do you favour particular individuals of a species for any other reason? For example, the first Bellsprout I ever raised (in the original Gold) was female and I became quite attached to her; it took me ages to catch my Bellsprout in SoulSilver, because male ones kept leaping out at me but NO, MY BELLSPROUT HAD TO BE A LADY.)

On the subject of Pokémon White: there's a house in Icirrus City, and if you go in the inhabitants will ask you a quiz question. You can take the quiz once per day.

The question today:

'What do you attach to your Pokémon to send letters: Mail or Marill? Hint: it's not Marill.'

It was a tricky one, but in the end I managed it.

Well, as this seems to be a Pokémon-themed entry, have a video of some Wooper. It is fourteen seconds long, and I have watched it many, many times. Enjoy.

(Yes, I literally had my Herdier do all the fighting. I used about twenty super potions, I swear.)

They are! I did think about Blitzle but apparently they have quite poor defence.

Well! I don't mind waiting. I don't think I'll be getting my Litwick until quite late, so. (Have you seen them? They're adorable.)

I must be the only person who didn't have trouble with the electric gym. Lightningrod Zebstrika with Shock Wave = let's see your Double Team spam make any difference NOW. Mine carried me right through that place, no problem whatsoever. I kinda love her.
