Statue Of Your Mom.
I have now completed Uncharted 2! I think possibly my favourite part of the game, save the perfect opening and ending scenes, is the bit where Nathan and Flynn are working together and just snipe at each other the entire time. Hee!
I did come to like Chloe, in the end, which pleased me. I like her the most when she's with Elena. Then again, I also like Nathan and Sully the most when they're with Elena. Is there any character that can't be improved by the company of Elena Fisher?
Well, yes, probably. Pyramid Head, for example, would probably stab her, which I wouldn't approve of. But she definitely brings out the best in the main cast of the Uncharted series.
(NATHAN AND ELENA
HEARTS FOREVER
they are adorable and I 'ship them so much. The way they work together and worry about each other when they're in danger; the way they poke fun at each other in quiet moments. The ending. ♥!)
The first thing I did upon beating the game was purchase the 'Dirty and Beat-Up' character model for Drake, so he can be covered in blood whenever I please. Although I do also love his winter jacket. Mildly saddened to find that the character model on its own doesn't cause him to stagger around in obvious pain. I swear I'm not a bad person.
The second thing I did was load up the 'Where Am I?' chapter and pet the hell out of some yaks. (Forget every other criticism levelled at it: the worst thing about Final Fantasy XIII was the fact that it wasn't possible to cuddle the little round sheepy things. The first time I saw a yak in Uncharted, I immediately steered Nathan in its direction and was saddened when he didn't interact with it. But, as it turns out, it is in fact possible to pet the yaks! Amazing!)
I've only realised upon writing this that these two things display very different sides of my personality.
Unrelatedly: why are the radio and television trailers for this year's Children in Need (for the benefit of non-UKers: Children in Need is an annual television event to raise money for children's charities) backed by the song 'Fuck You' by Cee Lo Green? I am really confused.

I thought you could do something with the sheeples on XIII? Couldn't you like... get wool off them or something? o.O
no subject
You can indeed yank a tuft of fluffy wool from the sheep, but I would much rather be able to hug them. I suppose Lightning isn't really the sheep-hugging type.
no subject
Ahah, I thought you could! It seems to me that they should have put in an option for players using Vanille as the party leader to be able to hug a sheep. And also probably do a happy little dance with it. :D I think it would have improved the game immeasurably.
ALTHOUGH I noticed once, while jaunting on a Chocobo, that if you leave them stood there, they pet the Chocobos quite adorably. It made me squee, heh.

The ending was hilarious, and Elena & Drake are my favourite characters in the game ♥ Also, asdfghjk, you can pet yaks??? :D
I'm gonna assume they used that song because it's popular (I can't think of any other reason as it's not a very... charitable song)? I personally can't stand the song, though - I find most things which are popular, music wise, to everybody else are things which quickly irk me.

Nathan~, you are such a sweetie pie! I just love the thought of him doing this with a lot of domesticated wildlife. Just rushing over to a puppy (after the obligatory jump in a pool of water), and being all like 'hey, how's things?'

Errrrrmmmm... because the people that make these ads aren't as in touch with the 'youth' as they like to think they are?

It starts the same way it always does: a rumour, a map, an artifact that he simply *has* to have. Nate's fractious for a few days, eyes shadowed by late nights and too much screen work, until Elena confronts him and he confesses.
A few days later they're standing at the foot of a temple out in the foothills of the Andes.
These days, Nate can only use the public steps and Elena's press pass has long since expired, but they still manage to find a door that, when Nate presses the correct combination of tiles, opens just so and once again they're off the map, following a thread of history through passages thick with dust and carvings that haven't been seen by human eyes in centuries.
The step up to the dais in the central chamber is a little steep, and Nate has to take Elena's hand (his knees aren't what they were).
"Ever think we're getting a little too old for this?" he grunts, his fingers calloused with a hundred lucky grabs and near misses.
Elena brushes back a strand of hair that's more grey than blonde, now, and hauls him up.
"I don't think so."

(That little exchange! Perfect!)

I have only watched other people playing Uncharted, because unfortunately, newer 3D games sometimes give me motion sickness and that is one that does- but the games look so cool! I'm glad to hear they live up to my expectations!
A pokemon aside: Hey, remember how I named Petilil after you? Well, I just wanted to let you know: Lilligant (her very adorable evolved form) is a pretty powerhouse, and has carried me through many a tough battle with poise, calm, and dainty cuteness. So, you (and she) are awesome!

Oh, thank goodness I'm not the only one.
I did find myself feeling a bit unwell after long play sessions, actually. It's a problem I've had for a while with games that involve a lot of swooshy camerawork and jumping around (or general movement everywhere; We ♥ Katamari made me feel awful). I suppose I just have to pace myself.
I'm very pleased that she's serving you well! I'll have to try training a Petilil at some point; they're adorable.

You should give her a shot if you are in need of a grass type, for sure! She's very sturdy for someone who is pretty straight grass, and I love that about her.

PS this is totally inane but last night I caught a Clefairy and was really happy

I had that one in my first run-through, but she got boxed fairly early because I SUCK at raising grass-types. I think it might be Chlorophyll? I can't remember. (Just looked, that's right. Unless you've unlocked her hidden ability Leaf Guard?)
I named mine Pomona. All my team this runthrough are named for Hogwarts Professors; Grass-type = Herbology professor was by far the easiest.

I am going to giggle forever about this!

You are utterly adorable.

If you like adorable things, the final scene of Uncharted 2 was amazingly cute.
no subject
That is very cute! Not as cute as picturing you in a crowd of yaks petting everything, but very few things are that cute.

It helps that they are brilliantly fun and don't snipe at each other over this rift, because if they had I would have thrown something at

I don't know anything about Uncharted, but that line makes me want a "putting people with Elena Fisher" meme.
edit: I just googled Elena Fisher and found this (http://pinkiepie.bronibooru.mlponies.com/data/d0edf496d8c70bcc3122e5254313124c.png), which I think appeals to your interests.

And that is an amazing picture! Oh, my goodness, Nathan's compass cutie mark: perfection. And is - is Sully's cutie mark a moustache?
