'Doommongering Gits' Is Too Wonderful A Phrase For These People.

Good news and a rant:

James May has said that he has had a conversation with Richard Hammond (which is good news, no matter what certain doommongering gits may say), and that he believes that the Hammond he knows is perfectly intact.

And now I become very angry with Certain News Reporters.

Dear doommongering gits of TV news reporters, and in particular That Man Who Is Reporting From Leeds Hospital For Sky News Right Now, You Know That One, That One Whose Name Begins With G But Is Not Gordon, I Cannot Quite Remember His Name But I Know He Is A Git:

Stop being doommongering gits.

I thought that Savage bloke reporting for the BBC was being overly pessimistic, and then Not Gordon came along and proved me completely wrong. The annoying thing is that I really liked Tom Whatshisname, who was reporting for Sky News earlier. He seemed genuinely interested in how Richard Hammond was doing, rather than blowing it up into a 'good story'. Also, I liked that he seemed to be as amused and touched by the 'you're a crap driver' story as I was, because he took every opportunity to repeat it with an adorable little smile.

Not Gordon is saying, "He's been moved out of the intensive care unit, but that may mean nothing. The doctors say he's improved, but that could just mean the swelling's gone down or something, it might not actually mean anything at all."

Look, Not Gordon, they've changed his condition from 'serious but stable' to 'stable'. That means that he has improved.

Not Gordon is saying, "James May is saying that he had a conversation with him, but it seems rather contradictory as Jeremy Clarkson couldn't get any reaction from him at all earlier, so we have to wonder whether it was a rather one-sided conversation."

Look, Not Gordon, Jeremy Clarkson was able to get a reaction by insulting him and May said very specifically that it was a conversation and you are a git. I want to know how Hammond actually is. I don't want to hear your stupid 'you know, all this good news might be nothing' talk just because you want to make it into good suspenseful television. This is a man's life, not your bloody plaything, and if you don't have facts to back up your dismissals and your doom-laden speculations I don't want to hear them.
