Voice Post:

(Oh my God, I hate my voice. I CANNOT BELIEVE I REALLY SOUND LIKE THAT. WHY DID I NOT REPLAY IT BEFORE POSTING?)

EDIT: Expansion on the Life on Mars/Silent Hill crossover idea mentioned (made ten times better by the fact that you do not have to listen to my voice!):

- The end of the second episode of Series One, with the sewers and the board-with-a-nail and the radio interference, was pure Silent Hill. Seriously. And there are staticky televisions and they are the same, apart from the fact that one of them is a time-travel cop drama. Erm. Maybe not exactly the same.
- Obviously, Sam and the team venture into Silent Hill for, er... well, I cannot think of any good reason for them to be going after a reported crime in Silent Hill. It's not exactly their patrol area, after all. They just do. Then Sam starts going insane (even more insane than usual, I mean) and begins to forget about the future. THERE IS SOMEHOW SOME SORT OF A PLOT POSSIBLY. Chris probably dies at some point. I am sorry, Chris; I like you, but you seem like the sort of person who would die in Silent Hill. Sam angsts about not being able to tell what is real and about his relationship with Gene and also because Silent Hill is generally a place of angst. The end! Awesome crossover!
- It is, admittedly, not the most detailed plan ever made.

Two things:
1) Your accent reminds me a bit of my friend Sinead. Er, this is a good thing?
2) I don't know a huuuuge amount about Silent Hill except that I've seen the film and also my heterosexual life partner, [livejournal.com profile] maestro1123, wrote a pretty fantastic Mighty Boosh/Silent Hill crossover. It was mad and I know she's not hugely pleased with it but, personally, I rather adored it. Idk if you know anything about the Boosh (you probably hate it now that I've said that so, er, sorry) but here is a link: http://community.livejournal.com/booshslashhaven/239511.html

She's in Japan right now - I say "right now", I mean "for a year" - so hasn't seen any of LoM s2, but she's planning to catch herself up asap. I'll mention that there's someone as obviously insane as her. ;)

Your voice is wonderful. You sound exactly like how I would like to sound, but I've lived in the North of England for too long and I don't think the accent will entirely go - it's not strong at all, just clipped vowels and not as pretty and shiny as yours.

Erm, yes, I did mean to say all of that without sounding creepy, but I appear to have failed at that.

I would write it for you, or try, but I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT SILENT HILL YOU WRITE IT.

Ahem.

You sound lovely! I should do a voice post so that you are forever scarred by my horribly broad N.Irish vowels...

And this is where I get to play my get out of jail free card in the form of not knowing much about Silent Hill! :D

*DANCES AT YOUR VOICE*

[identity profile] dracothelizard.livejournal.com 2007-04-09 07:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Oooooh, I would like to put Ray in Silent Hill, because he's a bastard. Not Annie, 'cause she's lovely. And Chris in Silent Hill, that's just mean, and Ray would mock him and his fear SO MUCH.

Also, Sam and Gene would see different things, and you just KNOW that Testcard Girl and her clown of evil will show up. Possibly like Laura did. They're equally evil anyway. And that Hypnotist Guy who does maths on the telly would appear too, somehow.

I THINK that it would work best if Silent Hill only affected one person? And that the others would mock Sam (because of course SH would affect Sam) a lot until they died somehow, or Sam thinks they're dead until they turn up later, like Maria.

OR SAM COULD FIND A MYSTERIOUS HOLE IN HIS APARTMENT AND DECIDES TO INVESTIGATE IT, for he is a loonie and thinks it'll lead back to 2006.

I DON'T KNOW.

I know nothing of Life on Mars, but everything can - and should - be crossed over with Silent Hill. I realize that statement is not necessarily a sane one.

Also, I am surprised, because you sound very much like how I'd kind of imagined.

[identity profile] mad-lemming-89.livejournal.com 2007-04-09 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
N'aaaaaw, pretty voice! *pets you!* :) That sounds like an awesome crossover! Pity I don't know Silent Hill at all, because otherwise, I'd write it. But noooooooo, Chris! T^T *huggles him* I'd rather Ray died. *evil grin*

...

You're right. It IS utterly insane. And I love it. X3

You sound both exactly the way I thought you would and not at all how I expected. I... I don't know. You sound older than I thought you would! But maybe that's just because to my ears British accents make everyone sound very sophisticated. Your accent's very much like [livejournal.com profile] kadrin's.

YAAAY YOU MADE A VOICE-POST

[identity profile] squeemu.livejournal.com 2007-04-10 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
I AM NOT HORRIBLY CREEPY FOR LISTENING TO YOUR POST TWICE because I was transfixed by the fact that that was actually you. I do not think your voice is awful! I, er. I hope this doesn't come out sounding horrible and you refuse to speak to me again, but your voice actually sounded more mature than I was expecting? And by "mature" I actually mean, you know, older instead of "less childish" because I wasn't expecting childish and oh god I'm digging myself into a deep, deep hole.

OMG YOU REALLY ARE BRITISH SPARKLY HEARTS.

Also? At the end there, when you said, "Thank you, bye" it reminded me of Jeremy Clarkson at the end of an episode, "Thanks for watching, goodnight." OBVIOUSLY YOU ALREADY HAVE SWITCHED BODIES.

I WANT TO WATCH THE SECOND SEASON. Do you know if it's available anywhere?

...also, I just noticed Baco said exactly what I said about how your voice sounded. WHEN I TYPED THIS COMMENT UP, IT WAS 1 PM. NOW IT IS 9 PM. CURSES. Am I perhaps in a time loop of some sort?

[identity profile] newbie1990.livejournal.com 2007-04-10 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Why do you sound so terrifyingly confident? It's really quite alarming. Um, your voice is also nice, but - but confidence! I want to hear what my voice sounds like now. I used to record messages on the answerpjhone with my brother (yes, stupidest activity ever) and I sounded horribly nervous even then... I sound so much better in my head.

Silent Hill is, from what I hear, mentally scarring and generally dreadful and something I should avoid like the plague and therefore Life On Mars should not suffer it's awfulness; however, I do think you should write it, because your Silent Hill/Scrubs crossover was brilliant, and you have not yet written Life On Mars. You should not kill poor Chris, though *hugs Chris*.

(Also, why do I keep putting full stops instead of '<'s? It is maddening.)

*giggles INSANELY*

It's so very weird actually hearing people on LJ but I'm loving it *g*

[identity profile] draegonhawke.livejournal.com 2007-05-05 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
...I don't suppose you know of a way for me to get LoM Series 2 episodes, is there? I seem to be on something of a Silent Hill kick at the moment.

[identity profile] dorcas-gustine.livejournal.com 2007-05-12 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
I want you to know that i really, really hate you!!!

No, that's actually not true.

But it's your fault that now I have a LoM/SH plot bunny in my hean. But it's not a plot bunny, it's more of a rabid were-bunny with big shiny teeth and blood-spattered fur, the kind you meet in Silent Hill.

And you know the sad thing? it's a DAMN GOOD BUNNY!!! it's a DAMN GOOD STORY.

AND I WILL NEVER WRITE IT!!!!

BECAUSE I'VE GOT NO TIME AND WAY TOO MANY THINGS TO DO!!!!

IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!!!!!!
