I have no idea how to write about the more gory aspects of Silent Hill - you'll notice that most all of my stuff for it focuses on the AAAAAAAAANGST side of things - but I'd probably better figure out how to really quickly.

Now, I haven't a clue what Thanksgiving and Independence Day (which I'm assuming it means, given the general theme in that row) involve, so I think I'm going to have to interpret them as 'giving thanks' and independence in general OH HYNE WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING?

Wow. There's no way I could do that, but wow. Thanks for linking it - it was cool to see what's being claimed. I don't think I want most of it all over my flist, but I am going to have to remember to go back and look sometimes - like, I don't read ER fic ever, but someone claimed Doctor Dubenko! I'm incredibly curious about that. And DW's there (though no one took Jack yet? Maybe I could write 100 teeny-tiny drabbles about Jack...) and some good HP ones and someone picked Dru/Spike.

Good luck with yours! The main thing I think is the problem is that a lot of the prompts are really, really, really dumb. Ah well.

Heh. There's no way I can do it, either - what have I got myself into? And NaNo coming up, and everything... I'm insane. Seriously.

I was actually pretty tempted by Jack, but... well, actually, I have no idea how that sentence ends. I like writing for Jack, and he offers more variety than James, who can really only be written for in the following states:

- a bit thick and angsty.
- terrified and angsty.
- insane and messed-up in a really creepy way. and angsty.
- angsty.

Why did I go for James? It may have been because I saw the 'Ends' prompt and thought Hey! The game has multiple endings! OH THE THINGS I COULD DO and had a Word document open before I could stop myself.

The main thing I think is the problem is that a lot of the prompts are really, really, really dumb.

OMFG I just signed up for Jack.

But the angst! I have written maybe 10 proper fics and some drabbles in my time in fandom, which is over four years. Ahoy, series of drabbles! Also, I intend to thoroughly flout the "keep crossovers to a minimum" rule because Jack either (1) has been with the Time Agents, (2) had an invisible spaceship, or (3) was in the freaking TARDIS. So I am going to write Jack all over time and space lalalala. (And I am writing a Jack/Biggles if it KILLS ME).

If you could see how widely/evilly I am grinning right now, you would probably punch me in the face.

Looking forward to reading them! And yeah, that 'keep crossovers to a minimum' rule makes no sense in The Most Crossoverable Fandom Of Them All.
