Aang's Pokémon, Of Course, Is Appa.
I watched Crustacés et Coquillages (Cockles and Muscles) yesterday, and ashdgjafkjhjgghh how much do I love Martin/Charley? It is not an excellent film, but I had to watch it the whole way through because I 'shipped it so freaking much. There is no fanfiction, and that makes me sad.
More Avatar! I am now up to 'City of Walls and Secrets'.
Regarding 'The Drill': I love Zuko and Iroh so much. I love that Iroh would risk exposing them as Firebenders just to heat his tea. And his happiness at having hot tea was adorable! I was most distressed when Zuko knocked the cup onto the ground. SOME THINGS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN NOT REVEALING THAT YOU ARE PRACTITIONERS OF A DESPISED ART, ZUKO. LET YOUR UNCLE HAVE HIS TEA.
'City of Walls and Secrets': so freaking creepy. This is a level of creepy I most certainly would not expect from a cartoon aimed at children. Which is just another reason why Avatar is brilliant.
And, just to return to 'The Swamp' for a moment: when Zuko and Iroh are begging? And Iroh says, 'The coin is appreciated, but not as much as your smile'? Zuko begins to facepalm before Iroh has even finished speaking. He knows exactly what is coming. This delights me.
At the moment, my Pokémon-for-the-Avatar-characters theories (you knew I had them) are as follows: Zuko has a Flareon. Katara has a Vaporeon. Azula, just to follow the pattern, has a Jolteon.
Iroh has a Vulpix. He grooms her with loving care.
Toph has a Geodude. Can Geodude hover? They're sometimes portrayed as hovering. Well, this particular Geodude tries not to hover too much, because he knows that not being able to see him makes Toph uncomfortable.
Sokka may, perhaps, have a Cubone. I'm hesitant about this, because perhaps a Ground type is an illogical choice for a member of the Water Tribe, especially as water hurts Ground types, but Sokka isn't actually a bender, and, hey, Cubone knows Bonemerang. I think Sokka would approve.

You keep saying things like this and I keep taking it completely the wrong way.

OH! I just realized! If you were to ship two of the sandbenders from the Desert episodes, you could call it Sandslash! *bricked*

I disapprove of such statements about Avatar :P

And I have officially been ill for a month now. HOORAY.

*attempts telepathic healing waves across the internet*
*also attempts telepathic 'send Iroh with a cup of tea' waves*

PS. STOP BEING ILL.

And Zuko and his 'but tea is just a bunch of leaves!' and then Iroh DEFENDS THE TEA'S HONOUR. Iroh/tea forever. Iroh needs to meet James May so that they can be tea snobs together.
"Aang's Pokémon, Of Course, Is Appa."
But what about Momo?

Oh, definitely. Iroh would be thrilled to meet someone who truly appreciated a good cup of tea.
Momo is Appa's Pokémon, just to be confusing.

I love you for adding Pokemon to EVERYTHING. I want Iroh and Vulpis art now someone pleaaaaaaaase.
Sokka absolutely has a Cubone because it not only knows Bonemerang but also has a club to hit things over the head with. Somewhat more effectually than Sokka himself usually does.
At least until he gets Epic Upgrade!I'm having trouble with Aang, though, I keep coming up with Dragonair for the inevitable flying dragon thing. ...wait can that one even fly? Damn you Pokemon for limiting flying to things with wings. Why would you do that?! There ought to be a flying bison pokemon. I would buy the new games for that.

also lol, of course azula would have a jolteon. crazy lightning lady she is and all.

Now convince me to change my mind!

...but it's so charming!

Anyway! Cubone is the perfect Pokemon for Sokka. As is Vulpix for Iroh. I think Zuko needs something with anger issues, though, as does Azula. Perhaps their respective Pokemone also have anger issues? Geodude are indeed portayed as hovering, but I never saw Brock's hover, so I'm going by that, and saying that they can't. (Otherwise, ground-type moves like Earthquake wouldn't effect it, instead of effecting it just a little bit.)

Sokka would definitely approve of Cubone.
Just keep him away from Jigglypuff, haha. ;D
And yes, Geodude does hover. I think she would be better off with Sandshrew, personally. Or maybe Sandslash - LOL, POKEMON NERD HERE.

Perhaps she has both Geodude and Sandshrew! Or perhaps she has a Graveler. Graveler has legs.
