Strangely, the prospect of Derren Brown/Ryan Evans does not immediately thrill me. That is not to say that I wouldn't be delighted were someone to write it, but I would have expected to be more excited by the concept. Hmm.

OH, WAIT: young Christian Derren, with Ryan trying to encourage him to accept his sexuality? Yes. Clearly I was just looking at the pairing from the wrong angle.

Also, I want Derren to mess with Troy's mind in some way and Troy to look hugely bewildered.

I don't think Chad would like Derren at all. Sharpay, on the other hand, would be enormously and terrifyingly attracted to him. Derren would be slightly alarmed by this.

He does fit in alarmingly well. Next time I watch a High School Musical film, I'm going to keep expecting Derren Brown to appear and being disappointed when he fails to show up.

If he doesn't break into a song-and-dance routine when I see him live, I shall be disappointed with that as well. Or reveal himself to be the Doctor's companion. Or to be the Master. Or to have a Pokemon.

..I am setting myself up for disappointment, really.
