I am now in possession of a ukulele!
Seriously, how awesome is this? It's a Mahalo, which apparently isn't the best-quality sort, and I am utterly rubbish at playing it, but I do not care for two very good reasons:
- It cost me less than twenty pounds. I am completely baffled as to why there are not more people playing the ukulele when it is possible to buy a perfectly good instrument for less than twenty pounds. If I were to get my hands on a better make later (
strangeumbrella recommends a Samick), or indeed if I should never manage to get the hang of playing it, I wouldn't have to feel that I'd wasted money.
- Everything in life is better when you own a ukulele. This is a fact.
I suggest that you look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself, "Why have I never owned a ukulele?" Then, when all of you have acquired your own and become brilliant ukulele players, we can all get together and do this.
