Is it just me, or is personally driving a pupil you've been accused of touching inappropriately home a really incredibly bad idea? Even if you want to explain to his father that it was a misunderstanding, you don't drive the pupil home yourself. One of the many points at which Waterloo Road has had me shouting 'THINK' at the screen.
I really like Davina! I feel I shouldn't really get attached to characters who aren't in the current series of Waterloo Road, because inevitably they will leave and break my heart, but I do like her a lot. And I 'ship her with Tom, of course, but who don't I 'ship with Tom?
Over in the world of the Pokémon AU, I have decided that Tom's Growlithe originally belonged to Izzie and passed into his care after her departure. The Growlithe is probably female, because in canon Tom is the only male presence in the Redpath-Grainger-Clarkson household and because on the whole the important figures in Tom's life tend to be female (Josh being the obvious exception).
This arrangement has the advantage of meaning that Tom acquires the Pokémon that symbolises loyalty only after the whole adultery business is over and he settles into a more responsible attitude. What Pokémon does he have before that, though? Does the new generation have a Lackofselfrestraintachu?
Steph has a Glameow. Fact.
SUDDEN POKÉMON CROSSOVER FANDOM SHIFT (there's a phrase that could open half the paragraphs in this journal): if Dr Doofenshmirtz of Phineas and Ferb had a Pokémon, he would have a Psyduck. He would call it Perry the Psyduck. Perry the Psyduck would, of course, be an entirely separate entity from Perry the Platypus; it wouldn't even occur to Doofenshmirtz that they had the same name. (Really, they don't have the same name; one is called Perry the Psyduck and the other is called Perry the Platypus. See? Completely different.)
Ferb has a team composed entirely of Magnemite and Magneton. Vanessa rolls her eyes at her dad's insistence on giving her Dark Pokémon all the time, but she is quite fond of a couple of them; I can see her with a Choroneko, one of the new Pokémon from Black and White. I have no idea about Phineas himself, though.
I feel a bit sheepish about this, but I'm quickly going to point to the collection of Peep Show Mark/Jeremy sentence-fics I finished a couple of days ago for
1sentence. Please don't take this as a demand for reviews! It is entirely fine not to review; I'd be a hypocrite to protest. It's just that I posted it at a stupid time of night and so some people who might be interested may have missed it, which would be a shame in a fandom this small.
