Riona: I just love him so much!!
Riona: What a formative disaster of a character! Why am I sixteen again?
Riona: HE'S NOT EVEN CHARMING, HE DOESN'T EVEN INTERACT WELL WITH OTHER CHARACTERS, THE ONLY THING HE HAS TO RECOMMEND HIM IS WHAT A COLOSSAL FUCKUP HE IS.

She's not wrong. The thing is, James Sunderland is the reason 'guilt-ridden psychological disaster who's incapable of good decisions' is my character type. This game is where it all started for me.

AND NOW I'VE GOT ALL THESE VERY INTENSE FEELINGS ABOUT JAMES SUNDERLAND AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THEM. I had no idea this replay was going to reawaken my teenage obsession! I just came here for a bit of nostalgia; I had no intention of caring!
It'd be nice to have some Silent Hill 2 fic ideas to work on as an outlet, but, alas, nothing's coming to mind.
So much of my fanfiction can be traced back to this man. Delusion and guilt are themes that show up in my writing over and over and over again. If I'd never played Silent Hill 2, I wonder how different my fandom and writing history would look.
