Title: Matters of Taste
Fandom: Scott Pilgrim vs. the World filmverse
Rating: PG
Pairing: Wallace Wells/Nega Scott
Wordcount: 330
Summary: Set post-film. Wallace is going out with Nega Scott. Scott maybe isn't totally comfortable with this.
Notes: I don't think I'm going to be writing a huge amount of Scott Pilgrim fanfiction, but this is an idea that's been pestering me ever since I watched the film. Have an extremely short and silly ficlet.
Wallace is making out with someone when Scott goes to collect his stuff.
That’s not a big surprise, and normally Scott would be okay with it. But he starts to feel something’s not totally right the moment he walks through the door, and when he sees who Wallace is making out with he realises why.
It’s Nega Scott.
Wallace is making out with Nega Scott.
“Dude, you’re making out with Nega Scott,” Scott says.
“Really?” Wallace asks, breaking off. The breaking off is a good thing, but it’s obvious he’s only doing it to be sarcastic, so Scott’s not sure it’s an overall improvement. “I am so glad you told me. I mean, can you imagine the consequences if you hadn’t told me?”
“It’s kind of weird,” Scott says, because it is. The name thing when Wallace started going out with Other Scott, he could handle that, that was okay. This is going a little too far.
“Don’t tell me,” Wallace says. “You think this means I’m into you.”
“Well, you are kind of making out with me,” Scott points out. “I mean, it’s me with a palette swap, but he still looks like me and acts like me, so unless you’re really into the red glowing eyes thing...”
“If I say I’m really into the red glowing eyes thing, will you leave? I’m kind of busy right now.”
“I think you need to acknowledge my distress here.”
“Acknowledged. Go.”
Scott looks desperately to Nega Scott for some support. Nega Scott just smirks at him and waves.
Nega Scott is a jerk. Does that mean that Scott is a jerk?
“Am I a jerk?” Scott asks.
“Yes,” Wallace says.
“Wait, did you mean me or did you mean him?”
“Yes,” Wallace says. And he goes back to making out with Nega Scott.
Scott hovers awkwardly for a moment before he leaves the room.

I can actually see Scott's next words to Wallace being "if I made out with Nega Scott, would it be like incest or masturbation?"
