I hear gossip about you all over the place. It just makes me sigh, RAKUNI. How did you get so strong? Go for the world championship now! I'll always be cheering you on! Call you later! ...is that OK?
Juggler Irwin's crush on me in SoulSilver is a bit weird and creepy, but the 'is that OK?' really made me smile. Oh, Juggler Irwin.
SPEAKING OF UNEXPECTED POKÉMON SLASH (I always play as a boy; there was no female character option back in the days of Red, and so playing a Pokémon game as a girl would just feel wrong now):
'Give him a call when you feel like it. He can be overly confident, but he still needs company. He says he won't have any plans on Sunday nights... Giggle!'
I, er, I think Daisy Oak is trying to set me up with her brother. Sorry, Daisy, but when I call him he tells me to call when he's available for a battle or forget about it. I don't think he's interested.
...actually, I just called Blue to check exactly what he says, and he opens with 'Hello... Whatever... Don't worry about me. I'm doing peachy over here!' Does this mean that my character is enquiring after his well-being? Oh, Blue. I just want him to find a friend.
(Blue generally breaks my heart a little. I mean, yes, he's a bit of a git, but still. I was so distressed when I learnt that when he sees you at the Lavender Tower in the first game and asks 'What brings you here? Your Pokémon don't look dead' and then fights you, his Raticate is missing.
If the first-game rival's official name is Blue, does that mean his full name is Blue Oak? What a wonderfully daft name.)
So I recently stumbled across a quote from Darren Criss and immediately set about scouring the Internet until I found its source, because it was the most adorable thing I'd ever heard. Here is said source! The entire video is pretty cute, but Darren's bit starts forty-five seconds in (the video is only two minutes long in total). My face hurts from smiling. I particularly love the smug way he says 'and we hugged'. Why am I not married to him? I don't understand.
I would love to be friends with the Glee cast. They seem like such fun to be around.

OH MY GOD D: If that was in old-school game I completely missed it.
I seriously need to pick up one of these reboots. Are they still worth it if you remember the original games quite well?

I haven't played FireRed or LeafGreen, so I can't speak for those, but I would highly recommend HeartGold or SoulSilver. Your Pokémon follow you around! You can talk to them and they'll nip at your feet or cuddle up to you or find items on the ground! If you get a copy with the Pokéwalker accessory, you can carry a Pokémon around in your pocket when you go for walks!

And I still have my copy of Yellow from when it was new and have also played the fire/leaf remakes, and I like HeartGold, for what that's worth.
THAT POOR RATICATE. I never noticed that either until I read it on the internet and then got all wibbly.
Daisy is totally trying to set you up with her brother because he's still moping over Red vanishing.no subject

Wait, what, Moltres isn't in Victory Road? This is wrong and I am not okay with it. (I can cope with Articuno not being in the Seafoam Islands, though, because I hated that place. Not that I'm that big a fan of Victory Road.)

even though in my past two games of HeartGold I have yet to do much after battling him since Red is the destroyer of worlds.Moltres is in this place unique to the remakes, some series of islands or another that I do not approve of because they are kind of boring. Everyone knows the best way to catch Moltres is while limping through Victory Road with only the Ultra Balls and healing equipment on your back! I do hate the Seafoam Islands, though, you are right. In HeartGold I had the mistaken impression they were actually the Whirlpool Islands and when I found Articuno instead of Lugia I was so very annoyed. Victory Road in HG is actually sort of relaxing, though. Well, when you have like 30 Max Repels, anyway.

I swear I'm the only one that likes those islands ;_;.

I cruelly burst out laughing at this. I'm sorry! But that is quite funny.

Did you ever read about the "hacked" Pokémon Black game where you fight alongside a pokémon named Ghost? Like, the story about it didn't scare me as such but, if I'm honest, it did creep me out a little bit. xD

I think I did read that story. I think I read it whilst listening to the Lavender Town music, in fact, which was clearly a mistake. Ten times creepier.

Also, omgyesplz.
