HORRIBLY EMBARRASSING CONFESSIONS TIME:

I've never actually seen High School Musical, and it is the cheesiest thing in the world, but 'Breaking Free' (link leads to a YouTube video) manages to put tears in my eyes anyway. (EDIT: ...and making this confession appears to have snapped something inside me, because I am now dancing madly along to it. HELP ME, I'VE GONE INSANE.)

Although it doesn't make me weep nearly as much as 'Ever Ever After' does. I have seen Enchanted, but I'm really not sure whether that actually makes this any better.

Don't worry! When I was twelve, I started writing a Pokémon fic about the Pokémon training adventures of characters who represented me, my brothers, two friends, and a number of my reviewers, because I was one of those people who said 'HAY GIVE ME YOUR OCS AND I SHALL WRITE THEM IN'. I am thoroughly ashamed of myself.

Also, I totally ripped off everything I'd ever read. And there was no clear plot, because I kept going 'HEY WHAT IF THAT HAPPENED THAT WOULD BE COOL' and throwing it all in with no planning whatsoever. AND ONE OF THE CHARACTERS DIED PURELY FOR THE SAKE OF ANGST. AND THEN HE CAME BACK AS A GHOST AND JUST CARRIED ON WITH THE POKÉMON JOURNEY.

It got to twenty-something thousand words before I abandoned it, so it's still my longest work of fanfiction.

When you were twelve you wrote a 20-something thousand word long fan-fiction. When you were twelve. I was barely literate at twelve. I don't think I had discovered my own knees when I was twelve.
