Oh, my. I may not 'ship Sam and Dean Winchester, but I 'ship the hell out of Dean Smith and Sam Wesson.

And I loved this episode! EVEN IF IT HAD A HORRIBLE LIFT DEATH (and, seriously, when Sam returns covered in blood, does it not occur to Dean that this evidently slightly insane man may have just horribly murdered the security guard? His reaction is just 'wow, you're covered in blood. LET'S GET ON WITH THIS, THEN.' WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU, SMITH?). It was ridiculous! It was just fanfiction flung gleefully onto the screen, and I enjoyed it immensely.

THE GHOSTFACERS.

AMAZING.

THE WINCHESTERS LEARNING HOW TO FIGHT GHOSTS FROM THE GHOSTFACERS. (I was half-hoping that the Ghostfacers video would show a picture or something of Sam and Dean, and Dean Smith and Sam Wesson would go 'what the hell?' But, alas, it was not to be.)

And door-kicking! And phone-smashing! Sam making Dean immensely uncomfortable ('You over-share')! References to Ellen and Jo and Madison! Sam and Dean barging in to fight a ghost with no idea what they're doing! 'Did you just call me "Sammy"?' Wonderfulness!

When Sam's friend was called up to HR, I believe I may have shouted 'NOOOOOO, DON'T KILL SAM'S FRIEND' at the screen. I suppose he had to die, to make way for the Smith-and-Wesson duo, but still. He was Sam's partner in skiving, and he laughed at Sam's ridiculous dreams, and now he is dead. Alas! (I would have liked to see more of Sam's reaction to his death. Although I did rather enjoy Dean trying to calm this guy down and then freaking out over him stabbing himself in the neck with a pencil. We do not get to see the Winchesters really freaking out much, as they see so many horrible things, so it was nice to see Dean's 'oh God oh God the guy just stabbed himself' face. I am sorry for enjoying that, Dean Smith. You probably didn't.)

I am saddened by the fact that we did not see the conclusion of the memory-loss escapade for Sam. I would really like to know what happened to Sam Wesson! Why did we not see him regaining his memory? That could have been really interesting.

I would rather like to read fanfiction about the adventures of Smith and Wesson, actually. There must already be AUs in which they go hunting together before regaining their memories, right? Well, there should be.

IT WAS HORRIBLE. I'm uncomfortable with lifts as it is. And the writers were such gits for letting the guard safely through, and then going OH, LOOK, YOU THOUGHT IT WAS SAFE, NOW HE IS GOING TO STICK HIS HEAD BACK THROUGH THE GAP.

Stupid security guard getting himself traumatisingly killed.

Awesome and horrible are synonymous to me when an elevator CHOPS A DUDE IN HALF. \0/ I had to look away from Wizard-dick stabbing himself in the neck, but I bounced gleefully when Oblivious Security Guy's torso got chopped. I don't even know, man. Kripke fucks with my brain.

I think it was All About Dean as far as Zachariah was concerned, as Dean was full of doubts and didn't want to be a hunter anymore, so Zachariah was like I SHALL MAKE YOU SEE THE ERROR OF YOUR WAY BY THROWING AN AU AT YOU. AND YOUR BROTHER. So, I'm not 100% sure Sam was really involved.

And obviously this shall never be mentioned again, especially as Dean doesn't want to remember that one time he drove in a Prius.

Zachariah said it was a real hunt and real events, though, didn't he? And presumably messing with Sam's memories as well would be easier than pulling an entire Sam replica out of thin air and keeping real-Sam away.

True, but I guess Zachariah doesn't really care enough about Sam to do an explainy bit at him.

Smith/Wesson is just incest-lite honey. It's like a gateway drug. (Accept it.) I know what you mean though. I want some Smith/Wesson fic NOW but my flist has yet to deliver; it's rather disappointing.

I thought the same thing about the bloody Sam part! Why wasn't Dean more horrified?

Serial killers are my favourite. Dean Smith being a serial killer BAFFLES AND EXCITES ME. Perhaps he was killing everyone, and just took advantage of Sam Wesson's dreams and hallucinations to not get caught. ♥!

I really, really disliked the end of the episode. I also would have liked to see Sam's reaction to it all. ;(

Of course, I could never forget Bobby! I was just more excited about the Ellen-Jo-Madison references, because we haven't seen them since the second season. Are Ellen and Jo ever going to reappear, Supernatural?

The lack of Sam's reaction at the end of the episode saddened me greatly. Ah, well, I suppose that's what fanfiction is for.

Yes, yes, yes, and YES. I had many similar thoughts. (And I REALLY liked the little mention of their pasts - Dean's family and Madison - so sad and right but not right and AU FANFIC.) It really was the fanficiest of fanfic episodes. I am expecting many codas. This ep made me bouncy where the bouncy has been lacking for a long time.

Also, I find something delightful in the idea of Sam "skiving" simply because it's so Britishy he wouldn't know what the hell it was he was doing.

(The mentions of their pasts were wonderful. I want to know about Dean Smith's relationship with his little sister Jo!)

Hee! Supernatural is the most American show in the world, so possibly using British terms to describe it is a bit odd. It was originally 'partner in slacking off', but I decided that 'partner in skiving' sounded neater.

Has there ever been a lift death on Supernatural before? With the show's apparent determination to make everything alarming (baths, showers, sinks, planes, trucks, sweets, paintings, telephones...), it seems a terrible oversight.
