Not Another One.
DEAR DEATH NOTE:
ALL THE APPLE SYMBOLISM IN YOUR OPENING IS JUST MAKING ME THINK OF TWILIGHT.
YOU DON'T REALLY WANT ME TO CROSS YOU OVER WITH TWILIGHT, DO YOU?
(ALSO SERIOUSLY LIGHT STOP REMINDING ME OF MY BROTHER; IT IS TERRIFYING)
...in a Twilight crossover, would Ryuuku be Edward and Light Bella? (I'm not thinking about this.)
Other things with which I would like to cross Death Note:
- Sherlock Holmes. This is purely because Light referred to L as the 'great detective'. What if Holmes were the one investigating the Kira case? He'd be much less technologically adept, probably, but he'd make up for that with awesome and Watson.

hippyjolteon was the one who first suggested the idea of Derren Brown with a Death Note, and I think it is an idea of absolute genius. Derren Brown does occasionally (and rather worryingly) come to mind when Light is thinking over his methods and whether he could have done anything to give himself away. A Derren with a Death Note would be thinking everything through constantly.
Alternatively, he could make a rather good L. But he probably shouldn't take the places of both Light and L at once.
- I'd say I'd like to see a Merlin crossover in which L was trying to find out who the sorcerer in Camelot was, but it would take him approximately three seconds to pinpoint Merlin. Merlin is not a master of stealth.
Regarding the fifth episode of Death Note: LIGHT YOU ARE SUCH A BASTARD. (I almost typed 'DERREN YOU ARE SUCH A BASTARD' there. Hmm.) I mean, I knew Light was a bastard already, of course, but tricking Raye into using the Death Note? Not only killing him, but screwing up his afterlife? That's just not on, Light.
