I Will Be The God Of The New World. Bet On It.
Boy Meets Girl had what is probably the most unsatisfying ending I have ever seen. If you are going to have a bodyswapped character start a relationship with someone without revealing that, oh, yeah, I used to be the guy you worked with, you need to have some sort of fallout and resolution after he has returned to his own body! How is this not obvious?
Tsk. Anyway, I am now going to talk a bit more about Death Note, which has yet to so betray me (apart from with the second opening theme, which just feels like someone screaming at me a lot, which is a bit distressing when a) the first opening is possibly my favourite opening of anything I have ever watched (even if it does make me think of Twilight), and b) I HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING WRONG, STOP SCREAMING).
(I also love the first ending, so have a link to that as well.)
(OH, WAIT, SPEAKING OF THE FIRST OPENING: SOME GENIUS ON YOUTUBE HAS MADE IT SO MUCH BETTER. I love the 'ZAC EFRON IS LIGHT' theory far too much.)
I greatly enjoyed the preview for the tenth episode of Death Note. 'HE MUST HAVE SOME OTHER MOTIVE FOR PLAYING TENNIS.' You can lay over all the dramatic music you want, Death Note; it's still a tennis match.
EPISODE FOURTEEN
LIGHT IS THE FIRST FRIEND L HAS EVER HAD
OH, L
I do wish Light cared about L as well. If they both perceived each other as friends and were still trying to kill each other, that would be fascinating. Also, of course, heartbreaking. Although L viewing Light as a friend is heartbreaking enough as it is. (What I really love is the fact that we discover a few episodes later that L has always thought Light was Kira, and yet he considers him a friend anyway.)
On episodes sixteen and seventeen: I rather like the innocent Light, the one who's forgotten about the Death Note. Let's have a series about him. Admittedly, a series about Light's adventures in Not Being Kira may not be terribly interesting, but I want it anyway. (THE LIGHT WHO DOESN'T KNOW ABOUT THE DEATH NOTE CAN'T BRING HIMSELF TO MANIPULATE SOMEONE'S EMOTIONS FOR INFORMATION. Oh, Light, how the Death Note changed you. And he's so angry about the suggestion that he might be Kira, bless him.)
...and now I am forced to take that back, because we have had Light's adventures in Not Being Kira for several episodes now and, to be honest, it really isn't as interesting as the adventures of Light the Deluded Murderer. Whoops. I'd rather be friends with the Death Noteless Light, obviously, but he's not nearly as much fun to watch.
Also, I notice that I appear not to be 'shipping L and Light, even when they are handcuffed together. How curious.
At this point, I think my main thought is that too many people are using Death Notes and not enough of them are Derren Brown.
In non-spoilery news, I really like Matsuda. He is enthusiastic and adorable! And in the middle of L and Light's twisted powerplay, it's nice to have a genuinely good guy who just wants to prove himself.
There should really be a Death Note/Top Gear crossover. Allowing Jeremy Clarkson to get his hands on a Death Note would be so very, very bad for the world. (The first thing he wrote in it would be the name of a terrible car.)
And Supernatural/Death Note! The Winchesters decide to investigate the mysterious deaths! They and L end up working together! Or possibly hating each other whilst working towards the same goal.
Death Note, it transpires, is very crossoverable indeed. (I'd hate to see what Withnail would do with a Note.)

ZAC IS THE PERFECT LIGHT. Seriously, if I hadn't known who Efron was and you'd told me the first image was a cap from a live-action Death Note film, I'd probably have both believed you and been impressed by the casting.
(He looks so evil in that last one. Killing your fans right in front of them in broad daylight, Zac? Are you sure that's wise?)

And... And... What if they were brothers too?
(I hope this makes up for ruining pokemon)

I think I like it.

And then Derren tells a line of people that he's ordered them in the order that they're going to die.
AND NOW I CAN SEE HIM BEING ADDICTED TO APPLES.

(Did you see the (unedited) Derren-as-a-shinigami picture

Also: NOT ENOUGH MARTIN FREEMAN BEING VERONICA. It was all about Danny adapting to being a woman, which was fine, but very little of Veronica trying to make sense of suddenly having a penis.
"Allowing Jeremy Clarkson to get his hands on a Death Note would be so very, very bad for the world."
The problem is that Jeremy would write stuff like 'Piers Moron' and then get annoyed that Piers Morgan doesn't drop dead immediately.
Does Pyramid Head own his own Death Note, or does he just own a Horrible Mental Torture Note?

Pyramid Head is a shinigami who, like Ryuuku, became bored, and as a result he decided to create the happy place of Silent Hill. Because it's so much more fun when the humans go mad and kill each other.

I thought I'd share. BECAUSE DREAMING ABOUT PEOPLE YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW IN REAL LIFE IS TOTALLY NOT CREEPY!
Also, that Death Note opening IS the best opening I have ever seen. :OOO Alkxjhdflkjasdf.

IT IS SUCH AN AWESOME OPENING. Have you watched Death Note?
no subject
I have not watched it, but now I kind of WANT TO REALLY BADLY. *chews knuckles* Oh, time. Why do I not have enough of you. D:

I am pleased to have been involved in such a clearly awesome dream, even as a blob.
You should watch it! I have sent you an e-mail regarding this.

Neither one of them were you, by the way.

THAT IS RATHER ENTERTAINING AND AMUSING.
Second reaction:
ACTUALLY, I HADN'T REALISED HOW CREEPY THAT SONG IS. Brr.
And Matsuda IS adorable!

I find L utterly adorable, and want to take him home and give him a perch and feed him sugar and logic problems forever!
Also, in the movies, Light is not played by Zac Ephron, but the guy who plays L (Ken'ichi Matsuyama ) is stunningly good at being L. You should come over to my place and see them, except I live in an undisclosed location on a different continent than you. Er, maybe you could come to Fiji and see them in a few months? Or Vietnam at some point? Johnnypurple's been talking about a TGS Vietnam meetup.

Also, first intro song is better than the second (ALthough the "yeah yeah ningen fuckers" thing is funny)
