Your World Is A Strange Place
Jan. 5th, 2007 11:31 pmRight! First things first:
draegonhawke, because she is awesome, has actually written the Chase-is-James-Sunderland fic that has been pestering me. You can (and should!) read it here. It is horrible in all the right ways. Also, I've actually made a start on that Top Gear/Pokémon fic, because I am weak and insane and really, really wanted to see what would happen if Jeremy Clarkson met Jessie. I sort of hope that they're going to fall in insane shouty love.
I just started watching Stargate SG-1, having finally given in under the combined pressure of
draegonhawke and
dracothelizard. I KNEW THAT NOTHING GOOD COULD COME OF MY FRIENDS COLLABORATING. Although, actually, something good has come of it, because I've actually really rather enjoyed the two episodes I've seen of it so far, and it has set new land speed records for a) making me completely fangirl over a character (I was saying 'JACK LOUNGES IN SUCH A CHARMING FASHION' not fifteen minutes into 'The Enemy Within', the first episode I saw. Also, Teal'c is awesome, but Jack!) and b) breaking my heart ('Cold Lazarus' was the second episode I saw, and when I'm two episodes into something I'm not even supposed to care enough about the characters to be able to have my heart broken yet! What the hell, Jack? It did get rather ridiculous and overblown at the end, but still, I thought it was excellent overall).
Draco is already trying to persuade me into a life of Jack/Teal'c 'shipping and writing Stargate/Silent Hill crossovers. I think that it is much too early for this. SG-1 and I have only just been introduced, Draco, and you expect me to suggest a threesome?
Although I am already having slightly worrying House crossover thoughts, mainly inspired by 'The Enemy Within' (spoiler blackout!)

(because, come on, the MRI shows that the guy has an alien wrapped around his spine. You just know that that would happen on House if House were just a tiny bit more science-fictiony. It's the science-fiction equivalent of 'You mean she has a worm in her brain?')
and the ever-so-slightly disturbing fact that Jack O'Neill is facially identical to James Wilson. Seriously. It's scary.
