I Was Taking Pictures.
Mar. 6th, 2008 07:30 amIs it my imagination, or is the present series of Torchwood making Captain Jack Harkness more and more 'I LIKE MEN. MEN MEN MEN' and toning down the fact that he also likes women and non-human entities? I've only watched up to 'A Day in the Death', so perhaps 'Something Borrowed' is full of Jack pursuing the ladies, but lately I've noticed that there have been more and more references to 'old boyfriends' and Jack seems completely incapable of talking about a man without assessing his shaggability. This bothers me a little; Jack isn't supposed to have a clear-cut, easily definable sexuality. (It doesn't bother me nearly as much as his 'even I have standards' comment, though. LIES, JACK, AND YOU KNOW IT. Stop contradicting my personal canon, Torchwood!)
P.S. That montage at the beginning of 'The Usual Suspects' (the Supernatural episode)? Showing what gigantic criminals our boys are? Made me grin like a loon, and I don't even know why. (Something that also made me smile far too much: "What do you think, Scully?" "I'm not Scully; you're Scully." Hee!)
Last night, I dreamt that I was Sam and my brother was Dean. It annoys me immensely that I didn't manage to solve the death we were investigating before I woke up.
