rionaleonhart: final fantasy x-2: the sun is rising, yuna looks to the future. (he's already had sex with you)
One of the things I love about Supernatural is the way it'll have moments that seem like shoddy writing, or 'pfft, well, isn't that convenient?' moments, and twenty minutes later the episode will suddenly turn around and hit you with something that makes it make perfect sense. Not to say that there aren't moments that are genuinely a bit suspect (I don't care how observant you are, Sam; nobody notices a not-terribly-prominent symbol drawn on the inside of a vase when they're just walking past it), but the 'oh, so that's why - oh' revelations are pretty awesome. When an episode of Supernatural feels a bit wrong, it's usually because something is a bit wrong.

Speaking of giant mechanical spiders, here is a fact from my personal Supernatural canon: Dean has a sheet of paper with 'GODDAMN STUPID THINGS SAMMY HAS SAID' written across the top, and he pins it up on the wall of every motel room they stay in and updates it as appropriate. We never see it because the cameras are never at the right angle, but I can assure you that it is there. It says things like 'Look, Dean, I think we can trust her' and 'It can't hurt to check it out, right?' and 'You're a terrible singer'.

I have now watched 'Heart'. Important notes:

- I support Sam/all the girls. All the girls in the world.

And some vaguely spoilery things. )

Seriously. Sam/all the girls. I briefly contemplated offering to write Sam/any given girl drabbles on request, but I fear they would all be the same. 'Sam met Rose Tyler/Rinoa Heartilly/Dr. Elliott Reid. He was adorkable! It was lovely! Then Dean dragged him away or something horrible happened or quite possibly both.' Possibly they would all somehow magically turn into Sam/Dean. DAMN YOU, INESCAPABLE INCEST.

(Sam Winchester/Rinoa Heartilly could actually be ridiculous levels of adorable.)
