Move It All Around.

Who wants to see a huge number of characters from assorted fandoms playing Dance Dance Revolution/Dancing Stage? It will improve your day, I assure you. There is just so much love put into this animation! It is charming!

If you enjoy it and would like to let the creator know, you can drop her a comment here.

Unrelatedly: my goodness, I've just realised that the fifth-and-possibly-final season of Supernatural starts in the US tomorrow. Wow.

I have managed to remain almost entirely unspoiled, but here is what I hope the casting spoilers on my flist say:

- Zac Efron. Ideally as a second long-lost brother. That would be excellent. And by 'that would be excellent' I mean 'it would completely ruin Supernatural, but it would do it so beautifully that I wouldn't care'. (Or playing flash-forward fifty-year-old Sam Winchester, as an Asylum attendee inexplicably suggested.)

- Derren Brown, as either a demon or an angel. I'd say 'or another of the psychic children', but we haven't seen any other psychic children since Jake died, have we? Given his talent for being simultaneously charming and creepy, he could in fact be wonderful as Lucifer himself.

- Failing that, Chad Michael Murray as Lucifer would be hilarious.

- Ooh! Or John Simm as Lucifer, playing him exactly as he did the Master! That would be enormously fun.

- Luxord could also make an excellent Lucifer. I mean, yes, he's fictional and computer-generated, which perhaps presents a couple of stumbling blocks, but I'm sure it's nothing a bit more money in the special effects budget or clever manipulation of the Cardiff space-time rift couldn't fix.

- I want Katie Cassidy and Genevieve Cortese to return, both playing Ruby at the same time due to some ridiculous time-travel handwave excuse. It would be amazing.

- EDIT: [livejournal.com profile] wanttobeatree has pointed out the shocking lack of Robert Pattinson in this entry! ROBERT PATTINSON PLAYS A SPARKLY HUNTER. JUST TO BE DIFFERENT. (You wouldn't want to be typecast as a sparkly vampire, would you, Pattinson? This way, you can play whatever you like. So long as it sparkles.) TRYING TO BE INCONSPICUOUS WHILST RESEARCHING IS A NIGHTMARE. When shapeshifters frame Pattinson for murder, Henriksen (who is still alive, shut up) just has to follow the reports of sparkling police officers and journalists.

I want an episode in Season Five in which people are dying mysteriously (so what else is new?). The Winchesters investigate. They become drawn into a battle of wits with their unseen opponent, and gradually realise that it is a human killing through supernatural means.

Eventually, they manage to catch Light Yagami (despite not being supergeniuses. Er. Perhaps they teamed up with L?) and acquire the Death Note.

Sam promises to destroy it.

He doesn't.

Seriously, do watch the multi-fandom Dance Dance Revolution flash. It is thoroughly delightful. Even the parts with characters I don't know charmed me, and the moments of recognising a character (and there are so many that you'll probably know at least a few) make it even better. There is a videogame bias, but I hope that doesn't put non-gamers off watching it, because it is a joy regardless.

But will there be KC/GC femmeslash? (oh dear. KC/GC sounds very much like AC/DC. What a thing to imagine.)

Anyway - RIONA. RIONA YOU SEEM TO HAVE MADE A MISTAKE. YOU HAVE NOT SUGGESTED ANY ROLES FOR RPATTZ IN YOUR S5.

I approve of Ruby Ruby Ruby Ruby.

Last time I took an Air New Zealand flight, I opened the entertainment guide, and Derren Brown was in there staring at me.

I squeaked slightly and took refuge in the Big Gay Drunk In The UK Adventure, which was also there.

Because Oz Clarke is far less scary, even with the Secret Irish Identity.

[identity profile] amy-wolf.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 11:44 am (UTC)(link)
It's okay. The plane gave me champagne and a considerably-more-intoxicated James May, which made up for a bit.

They should still put warning labels on those pages, though.

What's wrong with unexpected Irishness? :P

[identity profile] amy-wolf.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 07:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Nothing. It is a truly impressive secret identity, even if it did seem to rattle James May a bit (less the Irishness than the unexpectedness, and the whole 'Robin' thing, I think).

Zarla's chibi animations make me so ridiculously happy.

I have started watching Supernatural recently, and I'm altogether unsure what to think of it! Do you think the later seasons are better? I enjoy the concept well enough, but something about the show just doesn't hit my buttons quite right.

[identity profile] dots.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I like the Winchesters a lot! Especially Sam, he's such a woobie. I'm actually almost finished with the season, just watched Dead Man's Blood last night (which was utterly hilarious for all the wrong reasons, it felt like Supernatural Does Twilight). I just keep thinking "I've heard this series changes and I can see how it would have to, but I hope it changes in a good way ..."

[identity profile] clo.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 01:11 pm (UTC)(link)
That video did indeed iprove my day, which was sorely in need of improvement (even though I didn't recognise the majority of the characters. I wish there was an in-order-of-appearance list because some of them were so adorable I feel I should learn who they are). Thank you!

In other opinions on Stuff I Don't Know About (I've never even watched an episode of Supernatural; it's something I keep planning to do When I Have The Time...) John Simm would be an excellent Lucifer in any show but so would Derren Brown. Clearly there needs to be twin Lucifers, possibly with their own show. Of evil.

ALSO. Just double checking that you know the first of Derren's 'Events' is on tonight at 10:35pm on Channel 4? (he's predicting the lottery numbers and the Explanation Show is on Friday). New Derren! I inordinately excited! :D

[identity profile] clo.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 07:35 pm (UTC)(link)
YAY! That is epic awesome! Except now I have so many characters to look up, so little time... but who needs sleep when we have fandom! ^_^

The Two Lucifers could be the best sitcom ever. They could share a flat overlooking the River Styx and argue about the relative evil of the toaster vs the blender and try to outdo each other in evil acts! And occasionally angels would visit on Official Business and they'd put a pin on his chair and Derren!Lucifer would mindfutz him into believing he was a flying monkey while John Simm!Lucifer got annoyed over his own lack of mindfutz skills so he'd spike the tea with vodka instead. Then they'd go out and drunkenly steal Hell's traffic cones together!

...possibly I need to stop thinking about this.

You're welcome! Derren's been tweeting about it repeatedly the last couple of days (http://twitter.com/DerrenBrown), so I could't miss it. :)

Thanks for juxtaposing Derren and John Simm, now I'm back to wanting Derren as the master! ;) Speaking of the estimable Mr Brown, you watching the Event tonight? I basically have the TV booked for tonight and the next four Fridays...

ETA: *laughs* Beaten to the punch on two counts - I should really type comments faster instead of wandering off to do other things in the middle *g*

Ahhh, I should've thought of that!

EDIT: Also, I just watched that video and I squealed with joy when the kids from Earthbound and Mother 3 showed up :D

James Sunderland turned up and quickly left! Freddy Krueger looked at it for a moment, and clearly thought 'bugger this, I'm going back to killing stupid teens', as he should! I don't want to think about Jason and Michael DDR'ing, they'd probably end up having a standoff at the end and try to kill each other.

Also, I do know of some actual casting spoilers, and there are at least two that will probably make you very happy. They certainly made me quite happy. Unfortunately, it's not a casting spoiler from your list.

[identity profile] dracothelizard.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 02:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, and who knew Pyramid Head was so good at DDR? Is there a DDR machine in Silent Hill that we never saw?

Also, imdb.com tells me that there'll be supernatural every week for the next 5 weeks at least! Awesome! I hate US TV and its random monthlong breaks.

[identity profile] thrennion.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 02:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Last night, I dreamed I was auditioning for a film that would, without question, star Zac Efron. I am pretty sure that was your fault. Zac Efron as a long-lost brother on Supernatural would be amazing!
...and he would TRY TO TURN SUPERNATURAL INTO A MUSICAL.

And that flash animation is wonderful! Even though I only recognised a few of the characters. It made me squee with joy. ^_^

[identity profile] thrennion.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 02:53 pm (UTC)(link)
And of course, like with the Buffy and Scrubs musical episode, we would find out that the actors are all BRILLIANT SINGERS.

There would also be unexpected Chad Michael Murray as a tap-dancing Lucifer.

SPORTACUS!

LazyTown is clearly the epicest fandom to be in. Ever.

(Also: EL DORADO = FOXTROT TANGO WHISKEY)

I may have to dig out my copy of it.

(Also I too, totally dig LazyTown.)

--IS THAT SNAKE AND OTACON WITH A DAUGHTER

I DO BELIEVE IT IS

I recognized pretty much none of the other characters (okay, Road to El Dorado and the species of Pokemon, plus Samus and Luigi and the tentacle and okay Revolver Ocelot but that is still a small percentage), but it was worth it ENTIRELY FOR THAT. I can think of pretty much nothing better to wake up to than Snake, Ocelot, and an inexplicable daughter playing DDR. Nothing.

[identity profile] adraekh.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 06:01 pm (UTC)(link)
God, that flash video was adorable. I recognized only a few characters, but the animation was cute.

Also, the song. Addicting. Heh.

HEY IT HAS JUST OCCURRED TO ME THAT THE REASON THE CONGOER SUGGESTED ZAC EFRON FOR FIFTY-YEAR-OLD SAM WINCHESTER WAS BECAUSE SHE HEARD 'FIFTEEN-YEAR-OLD SAM WINCHESTER. The likelihood is that this has already occurred to you, but it was a revelation to me.

Also, lol I typed 'Zac Efron for fifty-year-old Zac Efron'.

I just wanted to say thank you for sharing that flash. I ADORE it and am proceeding to spam it to everyone I know.

[identity profile] saaski-moql.livejournal.com 2009-09-10 02:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I totally did.

And I even recognized some people. Including, uh, characters I probably shouldn't know but do anyway because I watch zero punctuation XD;
