draegonhawke has had the rather marvellous idea of making it into a meme of sorts, and everything should be crossed over with Silent Hill:
Write a snippet of an extremely unlikely Silent Hill crossover. Put it up in your journal, with a link back here if you like. I'll link to it here if I come across it or you tell me about it. Have fun!
( The scarily enormous list of results, in alphabetical order by fandom. )
(Most of these are in the comments to this entry. Good Lord,
jantalaimon and
draegonhawke.)
Also:
Twisting and turning the rabbit hole went, down and down and down, and she was far too afraid of what might become of her to notice the remarkable way in which the earth walls of the hole were changing to stained and battered brick, or the faint noise of something hissing and spitting like a cornered cat, like Dinah when she was in one of her rages.
And then, quite suddenly, the fall was over, and Alice cried out at the impact and the feeling of dirty water soaking into her new dress (and she wouldn't dare face her mother if she ever found a way back up now), but she seemed to be mostly uninjured, and after a little while she felt well enough to sit up and look around.
She was sitting at the bottom of a very dark well, and there seemed to be no way of getting out.
