rionaleonhart: final fantasy x-2: the sun is rising, yuna looks to the future. (brotherly concern)
Here is a Supernatural fic rec for you. It is a missing scene from 'Mystery Spot' (with major spoilers, so 'I haven't watched "Mystery Spot"' is a valid excuse for not reading it, but it is the only excuse), and it is so beautiful, and every time I read it it tears at my soul and makes it difficult to breathe. Sam.

in this part of the story I am the one who dies, by [livejournal.com profile] wanttobeatree.

I must have re-read the ending twenty times by now.

On an entirely unrelated note, do you think that '[insert character here] acquires a Death Note' is a crossover template with possibilities on the level of '[insert character here] goes to Silent Hill'?

The answer is 'no', of course, because nothing has the possibilities of sending a character to Silent Hill, but it could still be interesting. Different characters would respond so differently to having that power. Seeing how some characters take advantage of the ability to specify the mode of death would be particularly alarming, I imagine.

(At this point in writing the entry, my mind actually went 'I bet Silent Hill is full of Death Notes'. When not even I can follow my leaps of logic, something is clearly wrong.)

Silent Hill is still the king of crossovers, though. [livejournal.com profile] amy_wolf is at present trying to persuade me to write a High School Musical/Silent Hill crossover, with Sharpay in Silent Hill and a Maria-esque Ryan-figure and all sorts of creepy incestuous overtones. The horrible thing is that it's actually tempting.
