It Is Destiny, My Love! Destiny and Chicken!
I was planning to make this entry tomorrow, as I've already updated today, but I've just realised that I had a piece of non-contributory work due three days ago and completely forgot about it. My panic about the dissertation deadlines of the seventeenth of May is actually causing me to lose my mind. I dread to think of what I'll be like after another three months of this. (5,500 words down; 16,500 to go!)
Therefore, it is probably exactly the time for an entry of lovely and non-stressful things.

Many people seem to be having a difficult time at the moment, so shall we have a post of happiness? I would like to invite you to fill the comments with things that make you smile. Write absurdly fluffy ficsnippets! Come up with stupid crossover ideas! Post pictures of kittens! Link to that YouTube clip that makes you grin until your cheeks ache! Doodle daft comics in MS Paint! Talk about the characters or pairings you love and why you love them! Manip Pokémon into Merlin screenshots! Tell other commenters what you like about them! (And feel free to link to this on your own journals, if you feel your friends would either want to contribute or enjoy the contributions.)
There are no scores, but, if there were, Charlie Brooker/David Mitchell ficsnippets would totally get extra points.

...but you didn't want to talk about that.
I saw this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZ3gPXVMWRY) whilst watching piano videos on YouTube the other day and it made me think of you.

Is the difference in the way in which you pronounce 'one', the way in which you would pronounce 'wun', or both?

Look at their fluffy little faces!
And missing a deadline is too bad, I hope it doesn't have any terrible consequences :/.

Not a terribly reassuring thing to say, but a well-wishing at heart, so thank you! The actual piece of work shouldn't affect my final degree, but I'm a bit worried because it was for a tutor I've only had for a few weeks, so I don't imagine I've made a great impression.
Onto happier things: Labradoodles! Adorable!

I have no idea what you need in a reference picture, so I apologise if I've got this completely wrong, but here are two pictures of Charlie Brooker looking like your evil overlord:
And here are three pictures of David Mitchell looking repressed, adorable and slightly green, respectively:
(Even if I've got this wrong, at least this entry now contains pictures of Brooker and Mitchell!)

You've sort of flung me onto the Brooker/Mitchell bandwaggon, so I figured I'd try and write a little something
please note the word try.David didn't know why he was here right now. Him. Charlie. One minute, David was politely extending an invitation for a casual drink and the next thing he knows, it's the next day and Charlie is just sat there with a flowery mug in his hands looking like he normally does - slightly put out, and miserable. The constant thoughts of 'Am I only a distraction?', 'Has he noticed that he's only a distraction?' and 'Why does he keep looking at me like I've just squished a kitten?' lingered in the space that most other, and possibly (and questioningly) normal people would have filled with idle and awkward conversatiosn about the weather or some other political media-hyped nonsense as some sort of a guess. Maybe that was why it worked: the two of them were already awkward and somewhat socially inept that just being able to have a cup of tea together in complete and utter silence (with one of only two CD's playing in the background) was good enough.
Also, just letting you know that, if it's ok with you, I shall be adding you onto my friends list :3 I can't help it, your entries are just so addictive. That and
ta da?no subject
And, oh, this is a lovely snippet! 'Am I only a distraction?', 'Has he noticed that he's only a distraction?' - my heart. I just love the fact that they're being awkward together, and in a way their combined awkwardness makes it both more and less awkward.
Adding is always very welcome!

2) I really need to watch more Psych at some point, especially given the amount of dorky dancing it apparently contains. But perhaps not until I am under slightly less degree-induced stress.
3) I have no idea why this exists, but I think I am glad it does.

The Unicorn Who Used Up Dean's Shampoo (http://maskedfangirl.livejournal.com/6926.html), part one of a series in which a very crude unicorn befriends the Winchesters, Dean and Castiel attempt to capture Lucifer by luring him under a box with chips and then pulling the string, and there is a lot of candy.
Enjoyyy. :)

(stupid crossover ideas - I'm writing it, heh. Though it's more stupid for involving at least 5 fandoms than any other reason)
I believe this counts as a fluffy and absurd ficsnippet, if not an absurdly fluffy one:
"This wasn't what I had in mind when I asked about wings," Dean says. He tries to focus on the wings and not on, well, you know, other parts of the angel. Other parts that are normally concealed by that stupid suit and trenchcoat only in this dream... they're not.
"It was exactly what you had in mind," Castiel informs him, flapping his wings a bit. Soft, downy feathers flutter over the carpet. "My true wings do not look like this but your mind chose to see them in this form because it is what you expected."
"Oh," says Dean, wondering why this means Cas is shedding everywhere if the wings are just a product of his feeble human imagination. He wonders too why he *really* wants to touch the wings. "Cas, can I...?"
"Yes Dean."
Dean reaches and strokes Castiel's left wing, running his fingers first over the sleeker feathers on top and then down to the underside. There the feathers are... fluffy. Definitely fluffy. It's... nice; it makes him think about warmth... comfort... safety. Of course moving to touch the wing has caused him to shift his own position, so that their bodies have become aligned and pressed rather close together, but it takes him a moment to realise this. "Cas?" he says finally.
"Yes Dean?"
"Why are you naked?"
Castiel gives a flick of the eyes downwards before peering at Dean with something on his face that definitely looks like a smirk. "Why are you?"

What really makes this picture for me is that the dad kind of looks like a slightly chubbier version of the Trickster from SPN.

My goodness, he does! He certainly has the smirk.

But this description of Rasputin, for some reason, makes me very very happy: "the lecherous, gourmandising libertine... a servant to all that was hedonistic and sensuous..."
I can't even remember where it's from, just that a friend read it to me once and it for some reason sent me into fits of giggles. I'm smiling now just thinking about it. I get the urge to end arguments with it sometimes.
Just say it out loud, "FIE ON THEE, LECHEROUS, GOURMANDISING LIBERTINE." There, don't you feel better?
This was a very long comment for a very short and unamusing anecdote. I apologise.
